Ulta Haul

Ulta is my little piece of heaven on earth! Every time I walk in, I leave with 4 random things and a little poorer. Here are a few things I have purchased lately; the good and the bad.

Conceals dark circles so well!! The only problem is you have to sharpen this pencil yourself and I can't find the right size sharpener so I end up with jagged edges. Lately, I have been putting it on my finger instead of directly under my eye.

This powder looks great on and does correct your color. My only complaint is that the yellow color rubs off on anything it touches. You have to be super careful with your clothes, it is highly pigmented!

Revlon HD Color Stay Matte (temptation and obsession)

Y'all, this is literally my favorite lip product of all time. It smells great, goes on so easily, stays well, and looks much more expensive than it is. I am in love, and you should totally get on board this train too!

This is a great lip pencil/stick. It goes on so smooth and lasts for a very long time. I already have my eye on several other colors. 10/10 would recommend this product!

I LOVE this face mask!! My skin is so soft after I use it. I highly recommend any mask from this line.

This smells devine! I can't really attest if this does or does not protect your hair, but I do love the way my hair smells after I use it! I even spray it on my dry hair before I use my straightener or curler.

Conair Infiniti Pro (1.5 inches)

Eh, I was underwhelmed by this product. I don't think that it holds my curls well at all. My hair looks great immediately after curling, but by the time I have left my house it has lost the volume and curl.

Elsa

This week's Trend Spin Linkup theme is prints. When I think of a print, I instantly think of Lilly! I love a good Lilly Pulitzer print. Lately, I find myself wearing Elsa tops more than any of my other Lilly items. They are so easy to throw on and are perfect for almost any occasion. This is one of my favorite tops because I found it at TJ Maxx! It is one of the few Lilly things I have found in my size at a TJ Maxx. Too bad I am not a 000 or I would have a whole closet full of fun Lilly shorts!! Make sure to check out Walking in Memphis in High Heels and The Fashion Canvas to see how they are rocking prints today!

Life Lately

Sorry I was MIA last week. I was busy moving home from A&M! I wrapped up Student Teaching last Friday, had my bachelorette party over the weekend, then packed up and moved home. I have been super busy unpacking, organizing, and spending time with my family. Here are some pictures from my first week back in San Antonio!

My little cousin started playing T-Ball so I went to practice and two games this week! #gocubs

Mom and I did a little shopping and I picked up this gingham dress at TJ Maxx. I wore it to church yesterday!

I also got these nude flats from Nordstrom Rack. They are super comfy and trendy! The weather has been INSANE in San Antonio the last few weeks. It has hailed 3 times and rains every other day. This crazy weather has really cut into our swimming time, but that hasn't stopped us from spending as much time as possible outside.

I have been making monograms like crazy. This week I hit 800 sales! I am in the process of adding a few new things (the font pictured in LCR) on the Etsy shop. If you need a monogram, and who doesn't need more monograms, check out my Etsy shop The Preppy Type.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!

Spring in San Antonio

This is my favorite time of year in San Antonio.  We all know the hot summer is right around the corner, so we all try and spend as much time as we can outside. Here are my top things to do if you happen to be in San Antonio this spring!

  • The Zoo: Get ready to walk because it covers over 56 acres! Be sure to ride the merry-go-round right across the street in Breckenridge Park.
  • The Riverwalk: This is definitely the most touristy part of San Antonio, but it is beautiful. The Riverwalk is lined with shops, bars, hotels, and great restaurants. My favorite place to eat on the river is Casa Rio. It has yummy Mexican food under bright, colorful umbrellas!

  • Missions Baseball: One of my favorite parts of spring is Baseball season. San Antonio is home to the Missions, a minor league. The games are so fun, and depending on the night of the week, they have different deals!

  • Fiesta: This week marks the beginning of Fiesta! It is a week long celebration remembering the battle of the Alamo. Fiesta literally means party and it is one long party full of parades, coronations, balls, and carnivals. My favorite event is the River Parade. We line the paths along the river walk and watch the floats come down the river.

  •  Floores Country Store: This restaurant dance hall has been around for 70 years! It is a great place to sit outside and listen to live music. Musicians from willie Nelson to Elvis Presley to Randy Rogers have played at Floores. On Sunday nights, they have family night with free dancing!

  • The Market Square: This is a place to walk around and listen to mariachi music, shop for Mexican imports, and eat some great street food.  Mie Tierra or la Margarita are both very popular restaurants with great ambiance.

Vibrant

Happy Tuesday! This week I am linking up with Walking in Memphis in High Heels and The Fashion Canvas for the Trend-Spin Linkup. For this weeks Trend-Spin Linkup I am rocking my favorite spring getup. I love spring colors. Sign me up for wearing pink, yellow, green, and navy, especially with white bottoms! However, white shorts can be tricky. Nearly every pair I try on are too thin. These Tory Burch shorts are perfect! They are a good length (about 4 inches) and they are super thick. I know they are quite the splurge, but honestly they are worth it.

Old Navy Picks

Old Navy has always been one of my favorite stores. They stay up to date on trendy pieces, yet their clothes are so affordable. I stopped in this week and bought two tanks that I love (the chambray and stripe peplum). Both were only $9 each?! Here are a few of my favorite things they currently have in store!

What are your favorite Old Navy pieces this season?
