A Trip to the Drugstore

I am a total believer in buying drugstore makeup. I love to experiment with new makeup (especially lipstick) and the cost can add up so fast! The solution for me? A trip to Walgreens! Here are a few of my favorite makeup items from Walgreens.

Wet n' Wild Finish Lipstick

This is color "Fuchsia with Blue Pearl" and I am on hour 4 and it hadn't smudged or faded a bit!

Y'all, this lipstick is THE BOMB. I have always been a little bit lipstick snob. Up until this purchase, I thought you had to pay lots to get a vibrant color that will last. This lipstick is 99 cents, yes it is a dollar!! I literally could buy 40 of these for the cost of one tube at Sephora! The colors are such a great pigmentation. Run, not walk, run to your Walgreens and pick one of these up!

Simple Micellar Cleansing Water

Have you heard of this yet? If you are like me and are lazy, then this is for you. It is a face cleanser and makeup remover all in one. The best part, you don't have to rinse after! It leaves your face feeling clean (not oily at all). I have the worlds most sensitive skin and I can attest that this is so gentle on your face! I hit up 3 drugstores before I found a Walgreens that wasn't sold out. Clearly, they are doing something right!

Revlon Lip Crayon

This lip crayon comes at a fraction of the price of it's competitors. The color is great and it lasts for several hours. I love the matte colors, all the ones I have tried have been great! The "Just Bitten Kissable" line is much shinier and has a pearl look that I don't love on my fair skin. A lot of my friends are obsessed with the shiny colors, it just isn't for me.

L'Oreal True Match Lumi Foundation

I am a huge fan of a dewy foundation look. My goal with foundation is to steer clear of the caked on look and appear as natural as possible. This foundation does it for me! I have gone through 4 entire bottles, a record for me! Usually, I hop from brand to brand but this one has stuck for over a year. I apply it with a brush and it provides good coverage that appears dewy and natural. I set it with a powder and it lasts me all day!

The next thing I have my eye on is Evian Face Spray. Have y'all tried it? I need a makeup spray and the reviews on this one are great! Let me know if you have had success with it too!

  2. I love trying new makeup products too, so drugstores are the way to go to do it for cheap! I've been loving Maybelline's Dream Liquid Foundation for a dewy finish. What powder do you use to avoid the dry/cakey look?
Also, I've been wondering about the Micellar cleansing water! I'm glad you're a fan, especially on top of sensitive skin. I'll have to pick up a bottle and try it out!
    Great post, Carley!
